Chocolate, Coffee & Cards – Summer Days!

Hello, how are things in the world of you?

Today a new challenge starts over on the Chocolate, Coffee and Cards Challenge Blog and our theme this fortnight is Summer Days!  Oh yes!

We are sponsored by the fabulous Eureka Stamps
and I chose to use this super cool dude called Cool Cat with Shades

Now I originally envisaged him sitting by the pool with a milk cocktail snootily ignoring the water!  However I found this brilliant paper with a surfboard on it so we were off to the beach! Sorry kitty!  Sand in the fur; not good!

Now I did a similar beach easel card here (one of my more crazy creations and that’s saying something) so you’ll have to forgive me the lack of originality! I am rather a fan of easel cards though!
Ingredients:
Other Stamps: LOTV sentiment – Docrafts ‘Paw Prints’
Dies: SB ‘Inverted Scalloped Circles’ – Tonic ‘Nesting Rectangles’- Tattered Lace ‘Big Fern’ (see Hopeless Hand drawings)
Paper/Card: Fancy Pants ‘Beach Babe’ - Textured paper that is almost as old as I am (Phew!) – Craftwork Cards tent-fold A6 blank – Amercian Crafts
Colouring/Ink: Spectrum Noir markers and pencils
Others: Glossy Accents
Hopeless Hand drawings: Bear with, there’s a few!  - Cat collar – A Kitdle (I know!!) – Bowl of milk – Fish head and tail (the ‘bones’ are made from one of the fronds on the Tattered Lace ‘Big Fern’die)

I hope you will join us for this great challenge. Check out the blog for all the wonderful DT inspiration and play along!

Thanks so much for looking and have a wonderful summery day!
See ya!

Colourful hugs

MilkCoffee Showcase – Kraft Paper or Kraft Colours

Hello!  Thank you so much for all your kind comments concerning my migraine battle! You are such a bunch of sweeties!  Seems the older I get the worse these flaming headaches get! Best get younger then don’t you think!! J

Anyway this is a sad post for me today as it is my last as part of the wonderful MilkCoffee Showcase team.  I have really enjoyed working with Esme, Nana and the fabulous ladies on the DT.  Thank you so much for having me, you are all so super talented and I will really miss you! L

So before I start blubbing I had better get on with the job in hand!

The showcase today is Kraft Paper or Kraft Colours and the image I chose to use is the gorgeous Tiffany in Couture Dress.

Now anyone who ever visits my blog may begin to have a slight inkling as to how my mind works so when I chose this image the title seemed to suggest to me a movie poster introducing a film star in her latest blockbuster!! I know, bear with!!

(Imagine deep American intro type voice here..)

“Starring Tiffany in…………
Couture Dress”!

(Cue dramatic music!)!!
So, not wanting to disappoint my crazy mind I went with it!

Ingredients:
Other stamps: (On the posters behind the main image) a mini cling set from Tim Holtz
Dies/Pinches: Tattered Lace ‘Ivy’ – X-Cut ‘Petal’ small palm punch
Embossing folder:  M-Bossabilities ‘Brick & Bark’
Paper/Card: Neenah Solar ‘Desert Storm’- Ivory Centura Pearl
Colouring/Ink: Spectrum Noir pencils – ‘Vintage Photo’ DI
Others: Computer generated wording – ‘Christmas Red’ Stickles – gems from stash

Check out all the amazing designs by the fabulous DT (bye, bye, ladies!) here and visit the MilkCoffee shop to see the many super cute images they have.  And don’t forget to join in the current challenge on the challenge blog which is Summer Fun!

Thanks so much for looking and have a wonderful day!

Cutie Pie Challenge Blog – Cute Girls, Girls, Girls!

Hello, how are you keeping? I’ve been a resident in migraine city for the last couple of weeks but I can see light at the end of the tunnel now which is a great relief! Until next time that is! L

Anyway enough of my bleeding heart today there is a brand new challenge over at the Cutie Pie Challenge Blog and our theme this fortnight is Cute Girls, Girls, Girls! Bless!

This time we are sponsored by the wonderful Heather Ellis
and one lucky winner will win 3 of her adorable digital stamps

My make features this sweet little fairy called Pure Innocence 049 and I thought she looked as if she were sat waiting to be told a story so I made a bookmark to go on my card.  As you do!

Not overly keen on this creation I have to admit! It does look an awful lot better IRL though, but then I would say that wouldn’t I!! J

Ingredients:
Dies: Sue Wilson ‘California Collection Background’ – Tattered Lace ‘Happy Birthday’ – SB Die-D-Lites ‘Floral Border’ & ‘A2 Bracket Borders One’
Paper/Card: LOTV ‘Bonnets & Bowties’, patterned and ‘Solids’
Colouring/Ink: Spectrum Noir markers & pencils
Others: Computer generated sentiment – ribbon & jewel from stash – Liquid Pearls
Hopeless Hand drawings: – Faux stitching

Chocolate, Coffee & Cards – Black, White & 1 Other Colour

Hello, how are things? Hope all you UK bods are enjoying this glorious weather we’re currently having! Fab isn’t it! Best get my toenails painted then!! J

I’m here today to let you know that there is a new challenge starting over on the Chocolate, Coffee and Cards challenge blog and our theme this fortnight is Black, White and 1 Other Colour!

Our sponsor this time is the wonderful A Day for Daises
and they very generously allowed the DT to pick an image each to work with (what a task that was, I think I changed my mind 8 times!!).

So in the end I chose the uber gorgeous Pearls in My Hair
Now this design caused me quite a bit of heartache I must say. Why? Well it was all because I finally had to cut up (sniff) my yummy scrummy (sniff!) Eau de Nil papers (sniff!) from Papermania (blub!)! I have looked at them, stroked them, ooed and aaahed over them for the past week or so but always put them back safe and sound in the drawer! But not now! Oh no, I brutally hacked 2 of them to pieces with my dies and guillotine! What a monster I am!!!

Ingredients:
Dies/Punches:  Tonic ‘Nesting Ovals’ & ‘Nesting Rectangles’ – Crafty Individuals ‘In a Gilded Cage’ – X-cut mini butterfly palm punch
Paper/Card: Neenah Solar White - Papermania ‘Eau de Nil’ (may they forgive me) – American Crafts
Colouring/Ink: Spectrum Noir markers and pencils – ‘Peacock Feathers’ DI
Others: White Silky Crush ribbon – Liquid Pearls - Gems

I hope you will join us for this great challenge. Check out the blog for all the wonderful DT inspiration and play along!

Thanks so much for looking and have a fabby day!
See ya!

So today there is a new MilkCoffee Showcase and the theme is Boys and Toys!

The image I used is called Boy Plays with his Paper Airplane and is available here.

Cutie Pie Challenge Blog – Father’s Day

Hello, hope you are well!  Oh, wow! I just realised that I missed my 1 year Blogaversry (the jury’s still out on how you spell that one) which was on 3rd June! I can’t believe that it has been a whole year since I started this venture! Where’s that gone?!! And, this is my 100th post too! Cor blimey, I think I need a sit down! J

I just wanted to say a huge thank you to my little band of loyal followers and those who comment so regularly! I have been blown away by this whole experience and continue to be on a daily basis! I have to admit that it’s all been a bit like Narnia for me!  An incredible world that was under my nose the whole time (but with less lions, witches and wardrobes)!!

So waffle over we begin a new challenge over at the Cutie Pie Challenge Blog today and our theme this fortnight is Father’s Day!
This time we are sponsored by the fabby Bugaboo Stamps with this amazing prize on offer to one lucky winner!

I love this little cowboy (available here) and have to admit to singing ‘Home on the Range’ almost constantly whilst making this card. Be grateful you were not in earshot!! My poor dogs!!

This was one of my ‘evolving’ creations that just sort of grew and grew! I knew I wanted to do a stepper card and shrink the digi to use as part of a ‘Wanted’ poster and it just escalated from there really!

Ingredients:
Dies: SB ‘Cherry Blossoms’ & ‘Classic Ovals’ – Tattered lace letters from ‘Alphabet Bunting’
Paper/Card: Kraft – textured white vellum (coloured with SN markers TN4 & TN6 to make it look like a leather belt)
Colouring/Ink: Spectrum Noir markers and pencils – ‘Vintage Photo’ DI
Others: Computer generated sentiment made into a poster – brads – string (from a wedding invitation!?!) – Horse charm from The Hobby House
Hopeless Hand drawings: Wanted poster outline - Cactus (no it’s not a waving alien! How rude!! J J )

Pop over to the Cutie Pies blog to see the amazing inspiration created by my teamies and play along.  Oh and please, please, please don’t forget to make your creation CUTE!

Thanks so much for looking, and have a great day!
Yee ha and see ya!

Hello, how are you keeping?

So it's June already, (Really? Are you sure?) and it is time for a new Ladybug Crafts Challenge  and our theme this month is Something for the Boys &/or Use Your Dies!

Well I chose to do both and I used an image from the LOTV sketch pad ‘Vintage Boys Set 1’ that I got for Christmas! I love this little golfer, he looks so determined marching down the fairway, maybe he hit the ball into the water!! I coloured him with my Spectrum Noir markers and pencils and thought I would die-cut him to make him look like he’s on a golf ball! I know, I know!!! Give a girl a break would ya!!! J

Ingredients:
Stamps: sentiment from LOTV ‘Pretty Grungy – Good Times’ set – Do-Crafts Golfing accessories (as ancient as the hills)
Dies: Tonic ‘Nesting Circles & ‘Happy Birthday Sentiment Set’ (just outside frame) – Memory Box ‘Puffy Clouds’
Paper/Card: LOTV ‘Country Gent’ - Kraft
Colouring/Ink: Spectrum Noir markers and pencils
Others: Charm from The Hobby House (coloured with a SN marker)
